Job Overview
To join our team in Texas, we are looking for a highly motivated and skilled driver. Transporting the goods safely and promptly from one place to another will be one of your duties in this position. Our ideal applicant will be able to work in a fast-paced environment, have a current commercial driver’s license (CDL), and have a clean driving record.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport goods to and from designated locations using commercial vehicles, including tractor-trailers, in a secure manner
- Observe all traffic laws and regulations, including hours of service regulations, at all times
- Conduct vehicle inspections before and after each trip to make sure that everything is in working order
- Maintain accurate records of vehicle inspections, hours of service, and delivery times
- Coordinate delivery schedules and ensure prompt delivery of goods by communicating with dispatchers and other team members.
- Ensure that goods are loaded and unloaded safely and securely
- Keep your car neat and organized, and let management know if there are any maintenance problems.
Requirements
Our ideal candidate must have:
- A valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience as a commercial driver
- Excellent driving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members
- Understanding of state and federal traffic laws and regulations, including rules regarding hours of service
- Ability to perform vehicle inspections before and after a trip
- Being able to lift and carry heavy objects when necessary
