Import & Transload of Custom Ice Cream Trailer
Overview
A customer sourced a custom-built ice cream trailer from China and needed a fast, controlled import process into Texas—with flexibility on final delivery.
- Origin: China
- Port of Arrival: Houston, TX
- Final Destination: Austin, TX
- Equipment: 20FT Container
The Challenge
This wasn’t standard cargo.
The shipment consisted of a fully assembled, high-value ice cream trailer, requiring:
- Careful handling inside the container
- Proper securing during ocean transit
- Clean, damage-free unloading at destination
On top of that, the customer wanted immediate access to the trailer—not a delayed final-mile delivery.
Our Approach
1.
Ocean Freight Execution
We coordinated the full container move from China to Houston, ensuring proper loading and securement inside the 20FT container.
2.
ISF Filing & Customs Clearance
- Filed ISF accurately and on time
- Managed customs clearance with zero issues
- Ensured quick release from port
3.
Drayage & Transload
- Moved the container from port to a Houston facility
- Carefully unloaded and unwrapped the trailer
- Prepped it for immediate use or pickup
The Outcome
The trailer arrived exactly as expected—clean, intact, and ready to go.
The customer didn’t even wait for delivery to Austin.
They picked it up directly in Houston right after transload.
