The Challenge
The customer has requested flatbeds for their freight moving forward to facilitate easier unloading at their processing plant. To accommodate this, I completed the following steps:
Step 1.
Flatbed Requirements
Verified that the current shipping quantity and weight meet flatbed specifications.
Step 2.
Load Securement
Determined the proper method for securing the skids during transit.
Step 3.
Loading Coordination
Coordinated with the warehouse to ensure adequate space is allocated in the shipping yard for flatbed loading.
Step 4.
Pickup Scheduling
Scheduled the pickup to guarantee the delivery deadline.
Results
Coordinating with both the warehouse and the dispatcher on the day of loading was successful. Keeping all parties updated on their specific responsibilities and timelines was key to this execution.
Client Feedback
“We needed to transition our freight to flatbeds to make unloading at our processing plant easier. The team handled every part of the changeover smoothly, from verifying the shipment requirements and securing the skids to coordinating with the warehouse and scheduling the pickup. Their communication kept everyone aligned, and the shipment stayed on schedule without any complications.”
